Therapeutic Approaches

At Mental Wellness Restored, therapy is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client’s needs. I combine evidence-based methods with warmth, clarity, and practical tools to support emotional regulation, self-reflection, healing, and meaningful change.

Some clients need space to process and feel heard. Others need structure, accountability, coping tools, or support in understanding patterns that continue to show up in their relationships, careers, and sense of self. My role is to meet you where you are while supporting you in developing healthier ways to cope, communicate, connect, and grow.

Approaches may include:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions, behaviors, confidence, and decision-making.

Trauma-Focused CBT: Supporting safe, structured processing of painful experiences while building emotional regulation, coping skills, and a stronger sense of stability.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Building self-awareness, grounding, and present-moment tools to help manage anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and emotional reactivity.

Solution-Focused Therapy: Identifying strengths, clarifying goals, and creating practical steps toward change.

Gottman-Informed Relationship Work: Supporting couples with communication, conflict management, friendship, emotional safety, repair, intimacy, and connection.

Family Systems Therapy: Exploring how family patterns, roles, communication styles, and early relational experiences may influence current relationships and coping.

Two Realities Relationship Framework: Helping couples explore whether both partners’ experiences can exist in the relationship without one person being dismissed, corrected, blamed, or erased. This framework supports curiosity, accountability, emotional regulation, repair, and the ability to stay connected during difficult conversations.

Grief Counseling: Navigating loss with compassion while creating space for meaning, adjustment, and hope.

Sex Therapy-Informed Support: Supporting individuals and couples with concerns related to intimacy, desire, sexual communication, emotional safety, shame, trust, and connection.

I am a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP) through the Evergreen Institute, providing sex therapy-informed support for individuals and couples navigating intimacy, sexual wellness, communication, and relationship concerns.

Every client’s journey is different. I draw from these approaches to support lasting emotional, relational, and personal wellness.

Our Services

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”  - Abraham Maslow
